The herb's common name, "Greater Stitchwort" comes from its traditional use to ease sharp pains in the side. 

RECIPES:

The green shoots can be chopped into salads, steamed or quickly boiled.
You can eat the flower buds & flowers & these can make an attractive addition to a wild salad.

Tea:

Pour a cup of boiling water over the 1 tbsp of dried herb.
Take, 1 cup 3 times daily.

Fresh plant can be boiled & eaten as "greens",against albumen & sugar in the urine.

MAGIC:

Carry chickweed or use it in spells for love or to maintain a relationship.
